Verified facts
London Stock Exchange Group reported 8.8% growth in third-quarter total income excluding recoveries, measured organically at constant currency.
The group raised its full-year outlook to growth of at least 8.0%, EBITDA margin expansion of 100–120 basis points and equity free cash flow of at least £2.8bn. These are management forecasts, not completed annual results.
LSEG also outlined planned acquisitions of Octus and Trumid. The update does not establish that those transactions have completed or that their anticipated benefits have been delivered.
Apolifina analysis
Organic constant-currency growth is useful for examining the existing operation, but it is not the same as the reported sterling increase. Investors should keep the measurement basis beside the headline number.
Acquisitions can extend a business's reach while introducing funding, integration and execution risks. A stronger forecast is relevant to valuation, but it does not establish an attractive purchase price or a guaranteed future return.
Uncertainty and risk
Guidance depends on future trading and assumptions. Market activity, exchange rates, customer demand and deal execution can alter the result. General information only; no recommendation to buy or sell LSEG shares.
