Apolifina analysis

Sales growth does not establish profit growth. Investors need to distinguish the cost of running the hotels from the effects of restructuring and reassessing asset values. Both earnings measures deserve attention: adjusted profit offers one view of trading, while statutory profit retains charges that affect the accounts.

A non-cash charge is not the same as a current cash payment, but it should not simply be dismissed. It can reflect a change in what management expects assets to earn. The next useful evidence is whether operating cash generation and returns on investment support the strategy. Forecast benefits from restructuring remain uncertain.
