Apolifina analysis
For shareholders, a profit upgrade needs to be considered alongside the debt and integration work associated with a larger business. Improved operating performance does not automatically translate into a proportionate increase in money available for dividends or repurchases.
Pro forma comparisons are designed to make the changing business perimeter more comparable. They should not be confused with unadjusted statutory growth. Investors will be able to assess cash conversion and acquisition economics more closely when the complete results arrive. Supermarket demand, customer pricing negotiations and execution of integration plans remain sources of uncertainty.
